


Khulna-6 constituency MP Alhaj Maulana Abul Kalam Azad has announced plans to upgrade the 50-bed Paikgachha Upazila Health Complex to a 100-bed facility to improve access to medical services.
He said the government is also working to strengthen healthcare in neglected areas through infrastructure development and increased manpower, aiming to ensure services reach all residents.
The MP made these remarks while chairing a meeting of the Paikgachha Upazila Hospital Management Committee at the health complex auditorium on Saturday morning (April 25). He urged doctors to enhance the quality of patient care.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed delivered the welcome speech. Upazila Executive Officer Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury and Officer-in-Charge Golam Kibria attended as special guests.
The meeting was conducted by Medical Officer Dr. Arnab and presented by Resident Medical Officer Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mondal. Several doctors, health officials, and local representatives were present.
Key discussions focused on expanding bed capacity, improving infrastructure, increasing staff, and implementing action plans to enhance service quality at the health complex.
