Ninth Grader Missing in Lama for 30 Days

A ninth-grade student, Rengnya Mro (15), has been missing for the past 30 days in Lama upazila of Bandarban.

Rengnya was a student of the Commerce Department at Bandarban Collector School and College and resided in the school hostel. He is the son of Singpas Mro of Lulai Headman Para, Ward No. 9, Gazalia Union in Lama.

According to his father, Rengnya left the hostel on September 19, 2025, and never returned. The family learned of his disappearance a week later, on September 26, and have since searched extensively but without success.

A general diary (GD No. 1345, dated 27/09/2025) was filed at the Bandarban Sadar Police Station, confirming the missing person report.

The hostel superintendent, Md. Asad Uddin Siddique, said, “Rengnya left the hostel without informing anyone. We were deeply shocked to learn that he went missing. A committee has been formed to investigate the matter.”

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Masud Parvez of Bandarban Sadar Police Station confirmed the incident, saying, “A GD has been filed, and efforts are underway to trace the missing student. A police team is working to locate him.”

The boy’s father has appealed to the public, urging anyone with information about his son’s whereabouts to contact him at 01706-628887.
