Arsenal ended a six-year wait for a major final on Tuesday night, securing a 4-2 aggregate victory over Chelsea to book their place at Wembley.

Substitute Kai Havertz sealed the deal in stoppage time, rounding Robert Sanchez to score the only goal of a tense second leg at the Emirates Stadium. The result confirms Arsenal's first major final under Mikel Arteta since their 2020 FA Cup triumph.

Despite missing key creators Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard, the Premier League leaders displayed the defensive grit that has defined their season. Arsenal will now face either Manchester City or Newcastle United in the showpiece final on Sunday, March 22.

"We’ve worked hard for these moments together," Arteta said after the match. "The atmosphere was special, and we are going to enjoy this final."

With the Gunners currently six points clear at the top of the Premier League and still competing in the FA Cup and Champions League, the victory fuels growing talk of a historic multi-trophy season.
