Jamaat Ameer to Address Nation on BTV Monday

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman will address the nation ahead of the 13th National Assembly elections and the referendum on the implementation of the 'July Charter'.

The party has planned to deliver the speech at 9 pm on Monday (February 9).

The party submitted a formal application to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) on Tuesday (February 3) seeking permission to broadcast the Jamaat Ameer's speech simultaneously on state-run media Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Bangladesh Betar.

In a press release on Wednesday (February 4), Mujibul Alam, Senior Publicity Assistant of the party's Central Publicity Department, said that as a responsible political organization, Jamaat-e-Islami is committed to fulfilling the expectations and aspirations of the people. The decision to deliver the speech has been taken as part of the election campaign.
