


National University Vice-Chancellor (V.Professor Dr. A.S.M. Amanullah said that the National University has worked to develop students as skilled human resources to face future challenges. In addition to reforming the existing syllabus to make higher education work-oriented, ICT and English courses have been made mandatory in the first year of Bachelor (Honours).
At the same time, agreements are being made with various renowned universities and technological institutions in the country and abroad to create opportunities for National University students to receive modern and advanced higher education.
The success of the current administration of the National University is trying to change the quality of higher education depends on presenting the reformed syllabus to the students in an easy way. For this, the syllabus of Bachelor of Education-B.Ed needs to be reformed. For this, he has sought the help of the Institute of Education and Research-IER of Dhaka University.
Shahid Shadat of IER of Dhaka University on Sunday He said these things while inaugurating a one-year workshop on revision and refinement of the B.Ed curriculum organized by the National University at the Ali Conference Room.
Professor Amanullah said that the main architects of the implementation of the National University's dream of providing modern, quality, work-oriented higher education to about 4 million students in about 2,500 educational institutions across the country are B.Ed and M.Ed degree holders. If they can adopt and implement the strategy of teaching the new syllabus in an easy way, it is possible to bring about the desired changes. He said that it will be implemented only after the B.Ed syllabus is revised and refined by the IER.
The day-long workshop was chaired by Professor Hosne Ara Begum, Director (Acting) of the Institute of Education and Research-IER, University of Dhaka, and was attended by teachers of the Institute of Education and Research-IER, representatives of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards, teachers of various Teacher Training Colleges and teachers of the National University.
