The Vice-Chancellor of the National University, Professor Dr. ASM Amanullah, has said that the affiliation of colleges that do not comply with the conditions of affiliation of the National University will be canceled. No objection will be accepted in this regard.

He said these things during an exchange of views with the principals and teachers of various colleges in the district and the president and members of the governing council at the Habiganj Circuit House.

In addition, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Vice-Chancellor of the National University visited 8 colleges in Bahubal, Nabiganj and Baniachong upazilas of Habiganj district and exchanged views with the principals and teachers of the colleges.

Professor Amanullah said that without considering the future of the students or the needs of the employer institutions and industries, teachers only try to affiliate the subjects of their choice. Which is not desirable at all.

He said that to meet the needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there has been a shortage of manpower in various professional subjects including BBA and CSE. But the demand for affiliation in all those subjects is low. The Vice-Chancellor of the National University urged to apply for affiliation of new subjects considering the future needs.

Professor Amanullah expressed his anger at the fact that regular meetings of the governing councils are not held in many colleges. He said that due to this, the problems of teachers and students are not known. As a result, solutions are not found. Which is becoming more apparent day by day. Besides, if there are no regular meetings, no steps can be taken to increase the opportunities and facilities of teachers and students. As a result, they are deprived. Which increases their frustration.

The Vice-Chancellor of the National University said that in addition to improving the quality of higher education, the National University will be by his side in implementing any initiative taken for the development of colleges and the welfare of teachers and students.

The information was given in a press release signed by Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Director of the Public Relations Department of the National University on Thursday.
