Two young men, Md. Hridoy Hossain (25) and Md. Nazmul Hasan (24), lost their lives in a head-on crash involving a motorcycle and a CNG vehicle in Ramganj, Lakshmipur.
The accident occurred at 4:30 pm today, Friday, at a location known as Brickfield on the Ramganj Hajiganj Road, within the Khalifa Darjawa and Katakhali regions of Ramganj Upazila.
The deceased, Md. Hridoy Hossain, was the son of Md. Shahjahan from Atiya Bari, Udanpara village, in the Noagaon union of Ramganj Upazila. Subsequently, the injured Nazmul Hasan was taken to the Ramganj Upazila Health Complex for medical care. However, as his condition worsened, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College. Tragically, he also passed away upon reaching Comilla.
Witnesses reported that at 4:30 pm, while traveling from Katakhali to Ramganj, a CNG autorickshaw collided head-on with the motorcycle carrying Hridoy and Nazmul, causing both riders to be thrown onto the paved road, leading to their untimely deaths.
Sub-Inspector Md. Anwar Hossain of the Ramganj Police Station stated that law enforcement is currently on-site. The bodies have been recovered, and the CNG driver has fled the scene following the incident.
