A man named Mohinul Islam Shamin was apprehended by Rab-11 while transporting a significant amount of marijuana concealed in coconut husk sacks in Lakshmipur.

During the operation, authorities seized two and a half sacks of marijuana (33 kg) along with a pickup van. The arrest took place on Wednesday afternoon (November 26) during a raid in the BSCIC Industrial Area of Lakshmipur city. Mohinul Islam Shamin, the driver of the pickup, has not had his identity disclosed by Rab-11 as of yet.

Mithun Kumar Kundu, the Commander of RAB-11's Noakhali Company, confirmed the incident, stating that a substantial quantity of drugs is being transported to Lakshmipur from the Comilla district via a pickup van. Acting on confidential information, a RAB-11 operation team executed a raid in the BSCIC Industrial City area along the Lakshmipur-Dhaka Regional Highway. During this operation, they seized a pickup van containing coconut husk and conducted a search. At one point, the RAB-11 team discovered two and a half sacks of marijuana hidden within the husk. When Mohinul Islam Shamin, the driver, attempted to escape by abandoning the vehicle, RAB members apprehended him and transported him to the RAB-11 Noakhali-Lakshmipur camp.

It is suspected that the marijuana was transported from Comilla to Lakshmipur for distribution to various drug users. Following the incident, a case has been filed under the Narcotics Act at the Lakshmipur Sadar Police Station, and the detainee will be handed over to the police.
