Human chain demanding arrest of child Zayan's killers in Faridpur

A case has been filed at the local police station over the recovery of the body of a child named Zayan Molya (7) hanging from a tree in Alfadanga, Faridpur, two hours after he went missing.

Students of the local Javed Parvez Memorial Institute, locals and family members formed a human chain at around 10 am on Sunday demanding the arrest of the accused in the incident.

Confirming the matter of the case on Sunday (November 23) afternoon, OC Md. Shahjalal Alam said that the child's mother Kamrunnahar Cynthia filed a case against unknown accused at the police station that night. The police are working to unravel the mystery of the incident.

Earlier, on November 20, at around 2:45 pm, the police recovered the child's body from a garden some distance away from his house.

Zayan is the son of Palash Mollah, a Greek expatriate from Pakuria village in Buraich union of Zayan upazila. The child was studying in the infant class at a local kindergarten.

According to the case and area sources at the police station, the child Zayan went missing after returning home from school at around 12:30 pm on Thursday in Pakuria village in Buraich union of Alfadanga upazila. At one point, Zayan's mother and family relatives searched for him and after two hours, they found him hanging from a garden tree near his house with his pants around his neck. Later, the police reached the spot after receiving information, recovered the body and sent it to the Faridpur Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy. After the autopsy, the body was buried at the local graveyard after the funeral on Saturday afternoon. In this incident, the child's mother Kamrunnahar Cynthia filed a case with the police station against unknown accused on Thursday night. Case number-09.

The locals formed a human chain around 10 am on Sunday to demand the arrest of the accused in this incident. Students of the local Javed Parvez Memorial Institute, locals and family members participated in the human chain.

Kamrunnahar Cynthia, the mother of Zayan, who was killed in the human chain, said in a tearful voice, "Those who killed my only son are roaming around bravely. And my son is lying in the grave. I want justice for my son's murder from the administration, I want the murderers to be hanged. I demand that the murderers be brought to justice as soon as possible." She demanded that the murderers be brought to justice as soon as possible.

On Sunday afternoon, the investigating officer of the case, Alfadanga Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Sujan Biswas, said that a case has been filed against unknown accused in this incident. An autopsy of the body has been done, and action will be taken accordingly after receiving the report. However, the investigation is ongoing, I hope to be able to unravel the mystery of this incident soon.
