Rabi seeds valued at Tk 3.6 million have been distributed to approximately 3,000 farmers in Lakshmipur

Free seeds and chemical fertilizers have been provided to 2,930 farmers in Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila. Fertilizers and seeds worth Tk 3.6 million were handed out at the Upazila Parishad hall on Wednesday (November 12) at 11:30 am.

Upazila Executive Officer Jamshed Alam Rana attended as the chief guest and distributed the fertilizers and seeds to the disadvantaged male and female farmers.

Each farmer is receiving seeds for wheat: 20 kg, mustard: 1 kg, sunflower: 1 kg, peanut: 10 kg, soybean: 8 kg, lentils: 5 kg, moong: 5 kg,

peanut: 7 kg, seeds of 8 different crops. These agricultural incentives are provided to those who possess 1 bigha of agricultural land for cultivation.

The program, led by Upazila Agriculture Officer Hasan Imam, was attended by Agricultural Extension Officer Shariful Islam, Assistant Agricultural Extension Officer Md. Zahirul Islam, Deputy Assistant Plant Protection Officer Md. Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, Deputy Assistant Agricultural Officer Delwar Hossain, and several others.
