BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie said that martyred President Ziaur Rahman played village politics. He stood by the people of the village. He participated in the canal digging work together with the common people. He always valued the people of the villages. He worked extensively for agricultural development. That is why the people of the village believe in Ziaur Rahman's politics. There is also a rainbow in BNP's politics.

He made these comments at a meeting with women voters in Rajibpur village of the municipality (Ward No. 13) in Annie's Lakshmipur-3 (Sadar) constituency on Tuesday (December 10) afternoon.

Regarding Khaleda Zia, Annie said that Begum Zia's sacrifice for the common people is beyond imagination. Currently, Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital. The people of the country are praying for her recovery. Khaleda Zia is our political inspiration.

Regarding Tarique Rahman, the BNP top said, "The way Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia are working for the people of the country. Tarique Rahman thinks about the country and its people like his parents. For this, he has set a 31-point program for the February 2026 elections. In that light, we are working to implement the 31-point program nationwide."

Annie Chowdhury gave a warning message to women voters, saying, "You should be vigilant. There is a special Islamic party. They go door to door and sell tickets to heaven in the name of votes. The Almighty God will judge the faith of each person in the hereafter."

Present at the time were District BNP Member Secretary Shahabuddin Sabu, BFF Vice President Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy, Laxmipur Municipal BNP President Rezaul Karim Liton, and District Mohila Dal General Secretary Fatema Akhter Sumi Bhuiyan, among others.
