BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee stated that Begum Khaleda Zia is held in high regard not just in Bangladesh, but globally. Leaders from various countries are inquiring about her treatment, issuing statements, and dispatching medical professionals.
We are truly grateful for the respect shown by the Bangladesh government towards her. We extend our congratulations to Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus for the honor with which the government has assumed responsibility and facilitated her care.
He made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at a brief rally prior to a larger mass gathering held in the Rajibpur area of Lakshmipur Municipality on Thursday afternoon (December 4) to solicit votes regarding paddy ears. Anee Chowdhury is the BNP candidate for the Lakshmipur-3 (Sadar) constituency and serves as the convener of the district BNP.
He further remarked that the party has resolved to campaign door-to-door for votes. This election differs significantly from previous ones; it is a contest against an unseen adversary. A faction is making photocopies of NID cards, which constitutes a conspiracy, a calculated plan. The intent is to commit fraud. The disparity in votes can be perceived by traversing the area.
However, they are misleading mothers and sisters into surrendering their ID cards, which is a serious conspiracy. I urge the Election Commission to investigate who is collecting these ID cards and making photocopies, and to take appropriate action against them.
District BNP member secretary Shahabuddin Sabu, BFF vice-president Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy, Lakshmipur municipal BNP president Rezaul Karim Liton, and district women's party general secretary Fatema Akhter Sumi Bhuiyan were also in attendance at the event.
