Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee, BNP-nominated candidate for Lakshmipur-3 parliamentary constituency, said, "Our Lakshmipur is fertile land for agricultural crop production. Good crops are produced here at low cost. If BNP forms the government in the next election, an agricultural-based non-profit zone will be set up.

A wholesale market for agricultural products will be set up. Where farmers will sell their products directly. An agricultural university will be established. Where our children will study. All these things are possible for me, Anee. Because, I have a very good relationship with Khaleda and Tarique Rahman.

He said these things at a courtyard meeting organized by the BNP and Mahila Dal of Ward 2 of Lakshmipur Municipality on Friday (December 5) evening. Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee said, "Currently, drugs are a big problem in Lakshmipur. Social movement and resistance are needed to eradicate it. If we come to power, we will do it with the common people. Drugs will not remain in the society." Drug dealers and users will be sent to prison or abroad.

She warned the party leaders and activists that the parliamentary elections will be held in a few days. No such work can be done so that the opponent can take advantage. The capacity of the paddy will decrease. Arbitration trade cannot be done. Terrorist and extortion cannot be done in the area. People cannot be intimidated by showing muscle power. Organizational action will be taken against those who do this.

Criticizing Jamaat, Anee said, they criticize our 'family card, agricultural card and health card'. They say that they will go door to door like Hazrat Omar with a sack on their shoulders and deliver aid. In this modern and scientific era, such campaigns by Jamaat-Shibir and candidates of the scale are unreasonable. At this time, one has to make calculations and speak. However, Tarique Rahman has promised to provide family and health cards and other assistance with the aim of building a planned country. If he comes to power, he will implement it. If you do this, there will be no need to carry the sack on your shoulder to your home. Besides, it is not scientific and realistic.

Present at the time were District BNP Member Secretary Shahabuddin Sabu, Joint Convener Advocate Hasibur Rahman, Municipality BNP President Rezaul Karim Liton, General Secretary Professor Nizam Uddin, District Women's Party President Sabera Anwar, Secretary Sumi Bhuiyan and many others.
