Following a views-exchange meeting with administrative officials in Narsingdi concerning law and order, agriculture, and irrigation management, the Adviser stated that the election will feature a larger deployment of law enforcement personnel compared to previous polls. This measure is intended to help ensure a level playing field.
The Adviser emphasized that the success of the election ultimately "depends on the people—on the voters," asserting that no one will be able to stop spontaneous voter participation. He highlighted that elections are a collaborative effort involving the Election Commission, political parties, administration, and law enforcement, and recognized the important role of journalists.
He specifically urged journalists to continue investigative reporting and to actively work against corruption, encouraging them to report any irregularities, even if they implicate him or his family members. Earlier in the day, the Adviser visited the Narsingdi District Jail and Police Lines. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Anwar Hossain and Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al Farruk were among the senior officials present at the meeting.
