


The Arafat Rahman Koko Memorial Women's Football Friendly Tournament-2026 was held in Sariakandi, Bogra organized by Sariakandi Upazila Krira Sangstha.
The match took place Friday, 5 pm at the public field. Sariakandi Upazila Executive Officer SM Mikail Islam presided over the event. Kazi Erfanur Rahman Rentu former president of Upazila BNP, attended as chief guest while Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Atiqur Rahman was present as special guest.
In the football friendly, Dupchachia Football Academy faced Roxy Football Academy in a closely contested match. Roxy Football Academy won 4-3, with Dupchachia finishing runner-up. The chief guest and special guests later presented trophies to both teams. Shafiqul Islam Mukti, Md. Sohel Rana, Joynal and Raju Ahmed coordinated the event.
Speaking at the program, the chief guest said drug abuse has become a serious problem among today's youth and increasing sports participation could be the best solution. He stressed the need for more playgrounds and a supportive environment for young people to play sports with calling on all to help keep the youth free from drugs.
Other attendees included Upazila BNP former general secretary Shahajat Hossain Paltan, Municipal BNP general secretary Shariful Islam Hira, Upazila Jubo Dal convener Moidul Islam Munshi, senior joint editor Tarajul Islam Fani, Upazila Volunteer Dal member secretary and former commissioner Sohel, Municipal Volunteer Dal convener Md. Asaduzzaman Shovon, member secretary Niloy Hasan Shakib and Upazila Chhatra Dal president Nazrul Islam Nishan along with other BNP-affiliated leaders.
