


In the scrutiny of Bhola-1 constituency of the upcoming 13th parliamentary election, the District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shamim Rahman has cancelled the nomination papers of two candidates, including the National Party and the Independent.
On Saturday afternoon, after the scrutiny at the Bhola Deputy Commissioner's office, the District Returning Officer Dr. Shamim Rahman cancelled the nomination papers of the two candidates.
Bhola District Returning Officer and Administrator Dr. Shamim Rahman said that 9 candidates submitted their nomination papers for Bhola-1 constituency.
Among them, the candidacy of National Party candidate Akbar Hossain was cancelled due to discrepancies in the information about paying less tax than the assets during the verification process and failure to sign the affidavit. And the candidacy of independent candidate Md. Rafizul Hossain was cancelled as it was not found correct when 10 people were randomly selected from 1% voter support.
It is noteworthy that earlier, BNP candidate Golam Nabi Alamgir, BJP candidate Andaliv Rahman Partha, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md. Nazrul Islam, Islami Andolan Bangladesh candidate Md. Obaidur Rahman, National Party candidate Akbar Hossain, People's Rights Council (GOP) candidate Md. Ainur Rahman Jewel, National People's Party (NPP) candidate Md. Mizanur Rahman, Islamic Front Bangladesh candidate Md. Ashraf Ali and independent candidate Md. Rafizul Hossain have filed their nomination papers for Bhola-1 (Bhola Sadar) constituency.
