


Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, a potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency and convener of Inqilab Manch, was shot on December 12. He is currently undergoing treatment at the capital's Evercare Hospital in a critical condition. According to the doctor, part of the bullet is stuck in a blood vessel in his head.
This information was given by board member Dr. Abdul Ahad after the meeting of the medical board formed to treat Osman Hadi at the capital's Evercare Hospital on Sunday (December 14) afternoon.
He said that a report on Osman Hadi's physical condition has been sent to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. The family has decided to take him abroad.
Dr. Abdul Ahad said that a small part of the bullet in Osman Hadi's head remains in the brain, and parts of the bullet are stuck in many blood vessels. Heart rate and blood pressure are stable. His physical condition is unchanged, even the CT scan report is unchanged.
The medical board said that Osman Hadi has a blood clot in his brain. However, his kidneys are working, and other organs are working through life support. A very skilled shooter shot him.
Earlier this morning, Inqilab Mancha reported that doctors have advised Osman Hadi to observe him for 72 hours. That period will end tomorrow, Monday night.Osman Hadi was riding a rickshaw in the Box Culvert area of Bijoynagar in the capital at around 2:30 pm last Friday, the day after the announcement of the schedule for the 13th parliamentary elections. At that time, he was shot from a motorcycle.
Osman Hadi was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with a bullet wound in the head. Later, he was taken to Evercare Hospital. Doctors said his condition is critical.
Police have identified the motorcycle used to shoot Osman Hadi and arrested its owner. In addition, the Home Affairs Advisor has announced a reward of Tk 50 lakh for the arrest of those involved in the shooting incident.
