A two-day badminton tournament has been inaugurated in the memory of Shaheed Osman Hadi, the mouthpiece of the Inqilab Mancha, in Nalchiti, Jhalokati.

On Monday (January 13) night, Nalchiti Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Jobair Habib was present as the chief guest at the inauguration of the Shaheed Osman Hadi Badminton Tournament in front of Shaheed Minar organized by the Nalchiti Upazila Central Sports Organization.

In his speech as the chief guest, he said, Shaheed Osman Hadi has taken a place in the hearts of everyone as a role model of the young society. The young generation should move forward by keeping his ideals and principles in mind. He also said, regular sports achieve mental and physical fitness. We are happy and proud to organize this badminton tournament by honoring and dedicating it to the memory of Shaheed Osman Hadi. He thanked the organizing members.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rizvi Ahmed Sabuj and Osman Hadi's elder sister Lecturer Masuma Akhter also spoke at the inaugural ceremony.

12 teams are participating in the tournament. The prize money for the champion team is 6 thousand taka and the prize money for the runner-up team is 4 thousand taka.

The Shaheed Osman Hadi Badminton Tournament is sponsored by the Sports Organization Convener and UNO Jobayer Habib.
