A flagship initiative of Bangladesh Brand Forum, the prestigious gala took place at the United Convention Centre on yesterday.

The evening gathered Bangladesh’s foremost corporate minds — from C-suite executives and boardroom leaders to founders, strategists, and institutional decision-makers — in a celebration of leadership shaping the country’s next chapter of corporate transformation.

Welcoming the attendees, Shariful Islam, Founder & Managing Director, Bangladesh Brand Forum, stated, “The strength of a nation lies in the quality of its leadership. Today, more than ever, Bangladesh needs leaders who can think beyond profit, act with purpose, and uphold integrity while driving growth. The C-Suite Awards is not just a recognition—it is a call to elevate the standards of leadership across every sector of our economy.”

This year’s C-Suite Awards saw 102 nominations from 51 organisations, signalling broader participation and a rising competitive spirit within Bangladesh’s corporate leadership. To ensure a fair and high-standard evaluation, the winners were selected through a rigorous assessment process led by a distinguished Council Board, comprised of experts with deep experience in corporate leadership, business education, strategic consultancy, and economic policy. This panel brought together some of the most respected minds in the sector — Ashraf Bin Taj, Co-Founder & Managing Director, International Distribution Company Bangladesh PLC; Professor Imran Rahman, Professor, School of Business, ULAB; Mohammad Naquib Uddin Khan, Country Head & Ambassador, University of Technology Sydney; Dr. A. K. Enamul Haque, Director General, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS); and M. Zulfiquar Hussain, CEO & Lead Consultant, grow n excel.

Since its inception, the award has evolved into one of the country’s most trusted platforms for recognising corporate excellence—spotlighting leaders who not only deliver results but set new benchmarks for corporate leadership in Bangladesh.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh Brand Forum hosted the 9th Leadership Summit at the same venue under the theme “Resilient Leadership – Thriving Amid Uncertainty.”

The summit brought together the country’s most influential business and C-suite leaders, founders, leaders from corporate boardrooms, development institutions, business academia, and investment bodies to explore how leadership must evolve to ensure stability, foresight, and responsibility in the face of shifting economic realities.

The day’s agenda featured 3 Keynote Sessions, 3 Panel Discussions, and 1 Insight Session. The keynote sessions set the strategic tone for the summit. Professor Dr. A. K. Enamul Haque, Director General, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), unpacked the economic and financial foundations required for sustainable growth. Eisuke Tachikawa, Founder & Design Strategist, Nosigner; Professor, Keio University highlighted how creative leadership can strengthen resilience and shape a thriving future. Professor Andrew Karl Delios, Provost’s Chair & Vice Dean, Business School, National University of Singapore, reflected on leadership models suited for emerging economies facing turbulence and transformation.

The panel and insight sessions explored key themes such as financial discipline as a leadership currency, skills required to navigate volatile environments, and the structural adjustments needed to secure long-term growth. Discussions emphasised accountability, governance, data-driven decision-making, and the role of resilient leadership in preparing organisations for the next phase of national progress.

Together, the Leadership Summit and C-Suite Awards sent a clear message that Bangladesh’s progress will depend on leaders who can look beyond short-term gains, uphold values, make informed decisions and prepare institutions for the challenges ahead.
