Islami Chhatra Shibir Central President Nurul Islam Saddam has called for prioritizing employment for the country’s four million unemployed youth over "political temptations" like family cards.

Speaking as the chief guest at a youth rally at Pabna’s Swadhinata Chattar on Wednesday afternoon, Saddam criticized political parties for using aid cards as election tools. "The Awami League promised one crore cards but fled to India after looting the country. Now, other parties are showing similar temptations. We don't want these childish tricks; we want the right to work," he said.

Addressing the upcoming elections, the Shibir leader urged the youth to remain vigilant at polling stations. He warned that if anyone attempts to steal votes or fails to learn from "Awami fascism," another mass uprising could occur. "The youth must guard the votes and ensure the forces of justice prevail," he added.

Saddam also touched upon the 2024 student movement, noting that while many students sacrificed their lives, it was a victory for the common people against extortion and terror. He highlighted Shibir's success in recent student parliament elections as a sign of student trust.

However, he expressed disappointment with the interim government regarding recent question paper leaks, calling it a "great shame." He demanded that future recruitment be based strictly on merit.

The rally, presided over by Pabna City Shibir President Golam Rahman Joy, was also addressed by Jamaat-e-Islami’s Pabna-5 MP candidate Principal Maulana Iqbal Hossain and District Jamaat Secretary Abdul Gaffar Khan.
