


A community policing meeting focusing on drug eradication and highway crime prevention was held in Naogaon’s Porsha upazila on Saturday afternoon.
Organized by the Porsha Police Station, the event took place at the auditorium of the newly constructed Saraigachi Police Station. Porsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ziaur Rahman presided over the session.
Naogaon-1 Member of Parliament (MP) Md. Mostafizur Rahman attended as the chief guest with Special Guest Naogaon District Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Tariqul Islam.
During his address MP Mostafizur Rahman urged residents to actively collaborate with law enforcement and the local administration to build a drug-free Porsha and put an end to regional highway robberies. Following the discussion, the MP officially inaugurated the new Saraigachi Police Station a facility constructed through the independent initiative of local police authorities.
The event was attended by several key law enforcement officials and political figures are Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations and Crime) Joybrata Pal, Sapahar Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shyamoli Rani Barman and Community Policing President Abdul Gani. Upazila BNP General Secretary Sadiqul Islam, former Senior Vice President Taufiqur Rahman Chowdhury and other local BNP leaders were also present to show their support for the community initiative.
