


Seven individuals, including an independent MP candidate from the Gazipur-3 constituency, were apprehended during a special joint operation in Gazipur on the night of Wednesday, November 5. The operation resulted in the seizure of two foreign pistols, three magazines, four rounds of ammunition, four walkie-talkies, four batons, two electric shock devices, a hammer nail gun, and a sharp knife.
The army reported that the relatives and associates of those arrested are attempting to disseminate false and misleading information via social media, aiming to divert attention from the incident.
Lt. Col. Lutfar Rahman, commander of the 14 Field Regiment Artillery, made this statement during a news briefing held at the temporary army camp located at the Rice Research Institute in Gazipur Metropolitan on Friday morning. He indicated that the arrests were made based on specific intelligence. The individuals taken into custody are identified as prominent terrorists, robbers, and warrant-witnesses in various criminal cases.
