This incident occurred during the historic 7th November Revolution and Solidarity Day, specifically in Boalmari, Faridpur. The Wapdar More area became a battleground, leading to injuries for at least 23 individuals, including three police officers.

During the altercation, one faction's office located in the Harun Shopping Complex adjacent to Wapdar More was attacked and damaged. Additionally, at least 10 motorcycles parked in front of the shopping complex were set on fire, and numerous shops in the area suffered significant vandalism.

The Boalmari Upazila BNP Krishak Dal Central Committee is currently split between Khandaker Nasirul Islam, the vice-president of the central committee, and Shamsuddiran Mia Jhunu, the former joint secretary of Boalmari Upazila BNP. Both leaders are vying for the BNP nomination for the Faridpur-1 constituency, which includes Boalmari, Alfadanga, and Madhukhali, in the forthcoming national elections. However, the party has delayed the nomination process for this constituency.

Witnesses reported that around 3 pm, supporters of Shamsuddeer Mia began to assemble in the Wapdar More area, while Nasirul's supporters gathered approximately a kilometer away at Kazi Sirajul Islam Women's College More. The demonstrators were seen carrying bamboo sticks with rice stalks tied to their heads. Around 4 pm, supporters of Nasirul began their march towards the Wapdar More area. Concurrently, Shamsuddeer's supporters were heading towards Kazi Sirajul Islam Women's College. Upon reaching Boalmari Municipality, both groups began hurling bricks at one another. However, due to being outnumbered, Nasirul's supporters retreated, while Shamsuddin's supporters established their position in front of the Harun Shopping Complex at the Wapdar intersection.

At that moment, Boalmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tanvir Hasan Chowdhury, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Shibbir Ahmed, and Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahmudul Hasan attempted to intervene and de-escalate the situation. Unfortunately, they were forced to withdraw after being attacked by Nasirul Islam's supporters.

Subsequently, Nasirul's supporters set ablaze at least 15 motorcycles in front of the Harun Shopping Complex. They also broke into Shamsuddin Miah's office on the ground floor of the building, vandalizing and looting it. Additionally, they targeted various shops in the area, armed with domestic weapons such as ramdas and Chinese axes.

Between 5 pm and 5:30 pm, police officers were observed defending themselves from a corner during the assault by Nasirul's supporters. A fire engine arrived to extinguish the flames but was also attacked.

Shamsuddin Mia stated, "We were conducting a ceremony at Wapdar intersection after notifying the administration. At that time, Nasirul's group, along with members of the Awami League, launched an unexpected attack on us. They set fire to 10 motorcycles and my office. Fifteen of my supporters sustained injuries during the incident. They also vandalized a picture of Begum Khaleda Zia in the office." Khandaker Nasirul Islam stated, "I was in Madhukhali. They assaulted four of our individuals. One of them was hacked and injured. They ascended the Harun Shopping Complex and hurled bricks at my supporters, causing injuries to four or five people." This provoked the crowd, leading them to attack the shopping complex.

At approximately 5:30 pm, members of the Military arrived at the location and took their positions. Following the army's arrival, the fire brigade returned to the site and extinguished the flames. Despite the army's presence, tensions persisted between the two factions. Mahmudul Hasan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boalmari Police Station, reported at around 6:15 pm that vandalism and arson had taken place during the clash between the two BNP factions. Three police officers sustained injuries during the incident. Nevertheless, the situation is now under control.
