A free medical camp was organized in the Panchgaon area of Tongibari upazila, Munshiganj to mark the second death anniversary of the late Chairman HM Sumon Howlader. The initiative aimed to honor his memory by making essential healthcare accessible to the local community.
The camp took place on Friday at the Balur ground, adjacent to Panchgaon High School with comprehensive support from the Panchgaon Shanti Sangha Youth Organization. The late chairman's brothers HM Limon Howlader and HM Rinku Howlader supervised the day-long event.
From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. a team of six specialist doctors covering medicine, gynecology and pediatrics provided free medical consultations to approximately 500 residents. Alongside expert health check-ups and necessary medicines were distributed to the patients free of charge.
Several local dignitaries and organizational leaders attended to support the initiative. Key attendees included Panchgaon Shanti Sangha Youth Organization’s Senior Vice President Md. Ratan Khan, General Secretary Md. Mosharraf Khan and Joint General Secretary Mamun Mollah. Prominent community figures including businessman Faruk Khan and lecturer Swapan Mahmud, were also present.
Organizers stated that the camp successfully fulfilled its primary mission: paying tribute to the legacy of the late HM Sumon Howlader while delivering vital cost-free medical services to underserved residents in the area.
