Deadly overnight US airstrikes in Iran have targeted critical transport infrastructure, including an airport, a railway station, and two bridges.
The strikes are part of the escalating conflict between the United States and Iran, as the two nations battle over the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. According to Iranian state media, the attacks resulted in at least three fatalities and twelve injuries across multiple provinces.
In Hormozgan province, strikes on two bridges killed three people and left nine others wounded. In the southeast, three explosions were reported near Iranshahr airport, with state television confirming at least one US projectile directly struck the facility.
Additional transport hubs were also targeted. The Bandar Abbas Railway Junction Station was hit, injuring two Iranians. Furthermore, an attack in the western port city of Bushehr left one person wounded.
This military escalation follows recent video footage released by Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), which showed missiles being launched toward US targets in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
