Around 4,000 residents of coastal Paikgachha and Koyra received free healthcare services and essential medicines during a two-day medical camp. The initiative, aimed at supporting remote communities, concluded on Saturday, April 11.
The camps were jointly organized by the Siratul Huda Trust, Dakshin Khulna Unnayan Foundation, and Shamsur Rahman Foundation. On Friday, services were provided at Khan Saheb Komar Uddin Degree College in Koyra, followed by a session at Bholanath Sukhda Sundari Secondary School in Paikgachha on Saturday.
The program was held with support from Nahar, Peach Foundation, and ICD. Major (Retd.) Mesbahul Islam, Chairman of Siratul Huda Trust and Dakshin Khulna Unnayan Foundation, and Member Secretary Md. Iqbal Hossain supervised the event as chief guests.
Specialist doctors provided consultations across various disciplines. Local residents expressed their gratitude, noting that such initiatives are vital for coastal populations with limited access to expert medical care. Members of the Shamsur Rahman Foundation, including Upazila President Tamim Raihan and General Secretary Al-Mamun, were also present.
