Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed assured flood victims in Cox's Bazar that joint government and private initiatives will continue to support their recovery.

On Friday afternoon, the minister distributed emergency relief materials and visited flood-ravaged unions in Chakaria Upazila, including Phansiakhali, Laksharchar and Kakara. He also inspected areas suffering from severe erosion along the Matamuhuri River, notably Kumarichhara and Chharakul. After listening to locals who have lost their homes and agricultural lands he promised swift and permanent measures to halt further river erosion.

"The government has taken all necessary preparations to tackle this disaster. Joint public and private initiatives are actively assisting the affected communities," the Home Minister told reporters following the relief distribution. Reaffirming the administration's commitment he added, "BNP is the people's government. We are always with the people."

The minister instructed local administrators to urgently and accurately assess the extent of the damage. Once the official surveys are complete government will launch comprehensive rehabilitation programs to repair compromised embankments roads and educational institutions. Specialized support will also be provided to affected farmers to help them quickly resume normal operations.

Accompanying the Home Minister were several key officials. Reserved Seat MP Advocate Shamim Ara Swapna, Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner Abdul Mannan and Chakaria Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shahin Delwar alongside local public representatives and political leaders.
