BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Aniee said, in the past, there was a student political party. Who was known as the helmet army to the student community of the country.

They did politics by ignoring the opinions of ordinary students. They never worked for the welfare of students. But the nationalist Chhatra Dal is an exception. Chhatra Dal does politics with ordinary students. There is no opportunity to do politics like the helmet army. Because, the guardian of Chhatra Dal, Tarique Rahman. He always closely monitors Chhatra Dal. Moreover, the current student community. Does not like politics like the helmet army.

He said these words in the speech of the chief guest at the Prophet's Reception and Cultural Program organized by Chhatra Dal at Kafil Uddin University College in Chandraganj, Lakshmipur on Sunday (November 2) afternoon.

Aniee Chowdhury said, Chhatra Dal had an active participation in the July Movement. Numerous of their leaders and activists were injured. 148 people were martyred. Chhatra Dal was not only in the July movement. It was on the streets in all the movements against fascist Sheikh Hasina. It was in the anti-dictatorship movement in 1990. They are in all the logical movements of students. However, yes, in some campuses, ordinary students did not trust Chhatra Dal. Because, due to the movement-struggle, jail-oppression in the last few years, Chhatra Dal could not reach the ordinary students in the way it was supposed to. However, Chhatra Dal's current activities are student-friendly. In the coming days, Chhatra Dal will get a single mandate on campuses.

Aniee said that the objectives of Chhatra Dal leaders and activists are to be by the side of ordinary students. We have to work for their welfare. We have to practice the politics they expect. We have to understand their mentality and do politics on campus. Chhatra Dal's past activities and the history of the Liberation War must be presented to the students. Tarique Rahman's future ideas about students must be widely publicized among the students. Politics cannot be done in the style of the helmet army. New strategies must be adopted. Politics as the students want. Such politics should be done on campuses.

Kafil Uddin University College Chhatra Dal convener Meherab Hossain presided over the program and member secretary Riku Patwary moderated it. Central Chhatra Dal vice-president Kazi Zia Uddin Basit was present as the main speaker.

Among others, district BNP member secretary Shahabuddin Sabu, joint convener Hasibur Rahman Hasib, BFF vice-president Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy, district Chhatra Dal president Hasan Mahmud Ibrahim, general secretary Abdullah Al Mamun, Chandraganj Thana BNP general secretary M Yusup Bhuiyan and many others were present at the fresher's reception and cultural program.
