A new partial committee of the Rajshahi Metropolitan branch of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP has been announced. The approval of this committee was announced through a press release signed by the party's Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday (November 1).
Mamunur Rashid Mamun has been nominated as the president and Mahfuzur Rahman Riton as the general secretary in this 14-member partial committee. This partial committee will later form a full committee.
Nazrul Huda is the senior vice-president in the new committee. In addition, Aslam Sarkar, Oliul Haque Rana, Advocate Ali Ashraf Masum, Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, Muktar Hossain and Joynal Abedin Shibli have been appointed as vice-presidents.
On the other hand, Bazlul Huda Montu has been appointed as joint general secretary and Rabiul Islam Milu has been appointed as organizing secretary.
In addition, former metropolitan BNP convener Advocate Ershad Ali Isa has been appointed as member number 1 and Mainul Ahsan Panna as member number 2.
Local leaders and activists said that this new committee has been formed as part of making the party more well-organized and dynamic in view of the upcoming national elections. They expressed hope that BNP activities in Rajshahi metropolis will be more active and dynamic through the new leadership.
