Ahead of the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections, the central BNP has announced candidates for 4 of the 5 parliamentary constituencies in Pabna in the primary list of candidates announced. On Monday, November 3 afternoon, the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the names of the candidates at a press conference at BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's political office in Gulshan in the capital.
Those who have received Dhaner Sheesh nominations in 4 of the 5 parliamentary constituencies in Pabna are: former MP Advocate AKM Selim Reza Habib in Pabna-2 (Sujanagar) constituency, agriculturalist Hasan Zafir Tuhin in Pabna-3 (Chatmohar-Bhangura and Faridpur) constituency, Habibur Rahman Habib in Pabna-4 (Iswardi-Atgharia) constituency, and Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, special assistant to the BNP Chairperson in Pabna-5 (Sadar) constituency. Meanwhile, as no BNP candidate has been announced in Pabna-1 (Santhiyya) constituency, there is ongoing analysis among the leaders and activists.
