Bangladesh's merchandise exports experienced a decline for the third consecutive month in October, marking a significant drop of 7.43% compared to the same month last fiscal year.
October 2025 Export Value: The country exported $3.63 billion worth of goods in October of the current fiscal year (FY2025-26), down from $4.13 billion exported in October of FY2024-25.
The October fall follows declines in August and September, meaning exports have been decreasing for three straight months (August, September, and October), with July being the only month in the current fiscal year to show growth.
Despite the monthly declines, Bangladesh's exports showed cumulative growth of 2.22% during the July-October period (the first four months of the fiscal year).
Total Exports (July-October): Total exports for this four-month period amounted to $16.14 billion, up from $15.79 billion recorded in the same period of the previous fiscal year (FY25). The latest figures from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) confirm this slowdown in international trade earnings.
