Considering the difficulties of National University students, fees are being reduced from this year's Honors 3rd year. The fees of those who have already registered will be adjusted. This will significantly reduce the fees, said National University Vice-Chancellor Professor ASM Aman Ullah.

Earlier, last Wednesday, the National University took a preliminary decision to reduce the fees of various examinations, considering the difficulties of National University students.

Acting Director of the Public Relations Department of the National University, Md. Mostafizur Rahman, said in a press release that an announcement in this regard will be made by November 15 after a meeting with the principals of various colleges and university policy makers.

He said that this preliminary decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the National University Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Proctor and other department heads in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor and students of the National University on Wednesday.

The press release said, “Since many have already registered online for the current examination, this decision will be effective from the Honours Part-4, Pass Course Part-2 and other upcoming examinations.”

But on Friday night, the Vice-Chancellor told this reporter that the fee reduction program is being implemented from this year’s Honours 3rd year. The fees of those who have already registered will be adjusted.

The principal of a college run by the National University said that currently the fee for the undergraduate (honors) course is 350 taka per paper, the fee for the in-course is 150 taka per exam, the fee for the undergraduate (pass) course is 150 taka per paper, and the fee for the in-course exam is 200 taka.
