The results of the Junior Scholarship examinations—including Dakhil (Class VIII), Ibtedayi (Class V), Junior School (JS), and Junior Dakhil (JD–Vocational)—were published on Wednesday.

A total of 46,200 students from nine general education boards have received scholarships. Of them, 14,700 students were awarded talent pool scholarships, while 31,500 received general scholarships.

Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon and State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj formally announced the results at the Ministry of Education.

The 2025 Junior Scholarship Examination covered five subjects: Bangla, English, Mathematics, Science, and Bangladesh and Global Studies.

How to Check the Results Online: Students can visit the website of the Directorate of Primary Education (dpe.gov.bd), click on “Scholarship Result,” and enter their roll number and the year 2026.

By SMS: From a mobile phone, type the board name, roll number, and year, and send the message to 16222. The result will be returned by SMS.

Scholarships have been distributed under both talent pool and general categories. Allocation was made board-wise and at the upazila level, following existing policy guidelines.

The Junior Scholarship Examination began nationwide on December 28, 2025, and was held from 10:00am to 1:00pm. About 350,000 students took part at 611 centres across the country.

The Bangla exam was held on the first day, followed by English on December 29 and Mathematics on December 30. The Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies exams, scheduled for December 31, were postponed following the death of former prime minister Khaleda Zia. These exams were later held on January 5, 2026.

Evaluation of answer scripts has since been completed, bringing an end to the wait for students and parents.
