


The Upazila Agriculture Office hosted a ‘PARTNER Congress’ on Wednesday to promote crop production, nutritional security, and agricultural entrepreneurship.
Held at the Monohardi Upazila Parishad Auditorium, the event was part of the broader Program on Agriculture and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER).
Monohardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M A Muhaymin Al Jihan presided over the congress. Key attendees included Md. Azizul Haque, Deputy Director of the Narsingdi Department of Agricultural Extension; Mahtabur Rahman, Police Investigation OC; Aminur Rahman Sarker Dolon, Upazila BNP Member Secretary; and Upazila Agriculture Officer Runa Akhter.
Speakers emphasized the need to use modern technology to boost production, grow nutritious food, and adopt climate-resilient farming practices. They also called for better agricultural marketing systems to ensure farmers receive fair market prices.
Over 100 farmers, journalists, and local dignitaries attended the event. The congress featured exhibition stalls displaying improved crop varieties and agricultural products, which sparked significant interest among local farmers regarding new agricultural methods and technologies.
