The Monohardi Municipality and Upazila administration have launched a comprehensive waste removal drive to clear sacrificial animal waste and restore environmental sanitation following the Eid-ul-Azha celebrations.
The cleanliness operation began on Eid afternoon, deploying sanitation teams simultaneously across all nine wards of Monohardi Municipality. While municipal workers have already cleared waste from the majority of residential areas, cleanup activities remain actively underway in the remaining sectors.
To ensure uniformity, the Upazila administration has directed all Union Parishad chairmen and local officials to accelerate waste management efforts within their respective rural jurisdictions. The overall operation is being monitored closely by central upazila authorities.
In a public announcement shared via social media, the Upazila administration urged residents to report any overlooked animal waste or unhygienic conditions directly to local authorities for immediate intervention.
Monohardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M A Muhaymin Al Jihan emphasized the importance of community involvement in the drive. "Alongside the administration's efforts, public awareness and active cooperation from citizens are vital to maintaining a healthy, clean, and livable environment. A beautiful Monohardi is only possible through our collective responsibility," he stated.
