Lohagara Pilot High School Bids Emotional Farewell to Principal SM Hayatuzzaman

Lohagara Government Pilot High School bid a heartfelt farewell to its retiring Principal SM Hayatuzzaman on Thursday morning. Despite heavy monsoon rain, students, teachers, guardians and local dignitaries gathered at the school's open stage to honour his 31-year contribution to local education.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and School Managing Committee President SM Mustafizur Rahman presided over the event. Narail Zilla Parishad Administrator Bir Muktijoddha Mostafizur Rahman Alek attended as the chief guest.

Throughout the reception, speakers praised Hayatuzzaman for his transformative leadership. Fellow educators and community leaders commended his role in elevating the institution’s academic standards, noting that his dedication to expanding education in Lohagara would leave a lasting legacy.

Hayatuzzaman’s connection with the school is deeply rooted; he passed his SSC from the institution in 1984. After completing his higher education and BEd, he returned to his alma mater as an assistant teacher in 1995. He was appointed acting principal in 2008 and fully assumed the principal's office in 2017 serving with unwavering honesty and commitment.

The event concluded on a highly emotional note. Following the formal tributes weeping students, teachers and staff escorted their beloved principal to his home in Poddarpara in a specially arranged open microbus, offering a royal send-off to conclude an illustrious career.
