Storm Warning Issued for Four Districts, Winds Up to 60 km/h

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast thunderstorms and gusty winds in four districts by Wednesday evening, with wind speeds reaching up to 60 kilometers per hour.

According to a weather bulletin for inland river ports issued for the period between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm on Wednesday, Rangpur, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions may experience rain or thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds blowing from the west or northwest at speeds of 45–60 km/h.

River ports in the affected areas have been advised to display Warning Signal No. 1.

Residents, boat operators and fishermen in these regions are advised to remain cautious and follow weather updates issued by the Meteorological Department.
