The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has formed a 'Complaint Resolution and Redressal Cell' to quickly address issues faced by Bangladeshi expatriates.

The ministry's administration branch issued an official order confirming the decision. The five-member cell is convened by the additional or joint secretary of the Monitoring and Enforcement Division.

Other members include the joint secretary of the welfare branch, and deputy secretaries from the law, and service and protocol branches. The senior assistant secretary of the enforcement-2 branch will act as the member secretary.

The cell will take immediate action to resolve complaints submitted via a designated email address. To ensure accountability, progress reports on the received complaints and actions taken will be presented to the minister and secretary on a daily or weekly basis.

The order, signed by Deputy Secretary Dr. Anisur Rahman, takes immediate effect and allows the cell to co-opt additional members if needed.
