The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has launched a dedicated hotline to assist migrant workers whose visas expired due to flight cancellations amid the conflict in the Middle East.

Expatriates' Welfare Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury announced the initiative on Saturday morning during a Holi festival organized by the Academy for Manipuri Culture and Arts in Sylhet's Mirzajangal.

"The government is committed to supporting our expatriates. Those facing visa issues should contact the ministry immediately for all possible assistance," the Minister stated. He added that the Prime Minister is personally monitoring the situation.

Regarding casualties in the Middle East conflict, the Minister confirmed that the ministry has already contacted the relevant foreign governments and is conducting ongoing investigations to ensure the safety and rights of Bangladeshi citizens.

Addressing the local community, Minister Ariful Haque also pledged government support to resolve the specific challenges faced by the Manipuri community.
