Bahraini King Condoles Bangladeshi National's Death in Missile Strike

Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has expressed his deep condolences to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman following the tragic death of a Bangladeshi national killed by debris from an Iranian missile.

In a telephone conversation on Monday night, Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani officially confirmed the fatality to his Bangladeshi counterpart, Dr. Khalilur Rahman. Dr. Al Zayani conveyed the King’s sympathies to the Prime Minister and the people of Bangladesh.

The victim was identified as Mohammad Tarique, 48, an expatriate worker from Sandwip, Chattogram. He was killed when missile debris struck a shipyard near the capital, Manama. Two other Bangladeshi workers were injured in the same incident and are currently receiving medical care.

During the call, the Bahraini Foreign Minister assured that his government is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety, security, and welfare of the Bangladeshi community living in the Kingdom.

Dr. Khalilur Rahman expressed Bangladesh's sincere gratitude for Bahrain’s cooperation and commitment to protecting expatriate workers during the ongoing regional crisis.
