Anti-Drug Awareness Meeting Held in Nalchiti

An awareness meeting was held in Nalchiti, Jhalakathi, to promote public awareness against drugs, eve-teasing, child marriage and terrorism.

The program was organized on Tuesday night (June 2) by the voluntary organization Anti-Drug Society with the participation of residents from Wards 5 and 6 of the Kushangal Battala area.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nalchiti Police Station Ariful Alam attended the event as the chief guest. The meeting was presided over by Md. Ebadul Hawlader.

Among others present were Md. Al Amin Hawlader, Shahachan Hawlader, Makim Hossain, Abdur Rahim, Kabir Hossain, Abu Musa Sardar and Md. Sohag Hossain, along with other local dignitaries.

Speakers called for a zero-tolerance approach to anti-social and anti-state activities, including drug abuse, eve-teasing, child marriage and terrorism. They also urged stronger community participation and administrative support to help prevent such crimes and increase public awareness.

The event was hosted by Maulana Md. Akhter Hossain.
