


Poet Matiar Rahman Khan, a native of Bheramara in Kushtia, unveiled the covers of his two lyrical books—From the Poet's Pen and In Search of Poems in Search of the Carpet—at a cultural and prayer gathering held at his residence in Bamanpara, Bheramara, on Monday night.
The event was chaired by writer, researcher, and educationist Muh. Anwar-ul-Azim.
Among the guests were educationist and social worker Alhaj Shahnewaz Begum Jharna, former Assistant Headmistress of Bheramara Government Secondary Girls' School Hosne Ara Parvin, former Bheramara Press Club President Jahangir Hossain Jewel, poet Mozammel Haque, poet A.S.M. Shahabuddin, Kushtia Sahitya Parishad (KSP) President Asman Ali, Bheramara Government College Physics Department lecturer Anisur Rahman, poets Azbahar Uddin, Shahinur Halim, Rokunuzzaman Runu, Selim Mostafa, Abdul Gani, and Munir Uddin, along with journalist S.M. Abu Obaida-al-Mahadi, Saiful Islam, Zahid Hasan, Zahurul Islam, and other distinguished guests.
The prayer and munajat were conducted by Mufti Nurul Islam, Principal of Hirimdia Goresthan Madrasa.
