The Upazila Administration organized a stakeholder awareness meeting focused on preventing drug abuse and child marriage at the Madhukhali Multipurpose Hall on Tuesday.

Faridpur District Administrator and Magistrate Mazharul Islam addressed the event as the chief guest. The session was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rowshana Jahan.

Centered on the theme, "Build a Drug-Free Madhukhali for a Healthy Life," speakers emphasized the need for united community action to protect the youth. Key speakers included District Narcotics Control Deputy Director Shirin Akhter, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Pratik Dutta, and Madhukhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sukdev Roy.

Local political figures and community leaders—including Upazila BNP President Shahabuddin Ahmed Satej, General Secretary Abdul Alim Manik, Jamaat Ameer Maulana Alimuzzaman, and freedom fighter Abul Bashar—also addressed the gathering. The program was co-hosted by Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Iqbal Hasan and Social Service Officer Kallol Saha.

Following the discussion, local authorities distributed sanitary napkins to female students from various schools in the upazila to promote menstrual hygiene. The event concluded with a cultural performance by local artists.
