Madhukhali Police Host Community Awareness Meeting on Social Issues

Madhukhali Police Station organized a community awareness meeting to address pressing social issues, including drug abuse, street harassment (eve-teasing), online gambling, terrorism, extortion, child marriage, and suicide.

The event took place on Saturday, July 4, at 3:00 p.m. at the Kali Temple premises in Jadavpur village, Megchami Union.

Nikhil Das presided over the session, which was moderated by Saiful Shikder. Madhukhali Upazila BNP President Shahbuddin Ahmed Satej attended as the chief guest. Special guests included KM Rafiqul Islam, Central Committee President of the Desh Bachao Manush Bachao Andolan, Megchami Union Chairman Sabbir Uddin Sabbir, and Sub-Inspector Abdul Latif of the Madhukhali Police Station.

Several other local political figures, educators, and community leaders—including Jamalpur Degree College Assistant Professor Mir Moniruzzaman Babu and former Megchami Union BNP General Secretary DI Mridha—also addressed the gathering. The speakers emphasized the need for united, community-led action alongside law enforcement to prevent crime and maintain social harmony.
