


Free eye treatment has been provided to helpless and poor people in Lohagara, Narail. The day-long program was organized on Friday (October 31) at the Lohagara Club Hall.
This medical service was provided at the initiative of the traditional Lohagara Club and in cooperation with Lion International District-315A3. Under the program, eye examinations, medicines and glasses were distributed to the patients.
The free eye treatment program was inaugurated by Lohagara Club President and Supreme Court lawyer Md. Kamruzzaman Kochi.
Present at the event were the club's general secretary and Jessore's additional district and sessions judge SM Ashiqur Rahman, prominent businessman and club member Lion Sheikh Mafuzur Rahman Jewel, Lohagara Government Pilot High School headmaster SM Hayatuzzaman, businessman Rubel Mahmud, accounting officer Badruzzaman Kadar, and engineer Taibul Islam.
In this day-long event, eye tests, free medicines and glasses were distributed to more than three hundred patients under the supervision of ophthalmologists Dr. Selim Khan and Dr. Umme Salma Urmi. In addition, 27 patients were registered for free operations at the Lion Eye Hospital in Dhaka.
The scout team of Lohagara Government Pilot High School volunteered for the free eye treatment program.
