The official car of Sariakandi Upazila Animal Resources and Veterinary Hospital in Bogra is being used for personal use. Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Mir Kausar Hossain is doing this.
It is learned that these vehicles, known as Mobile Veterinary Clinics or MVC (Mobile Veterinary Clinic), have been purchased under the Livestock and Dairy Development Project. These vehicles are allocated by the government to many upazilas to provide emergency treatment to sick cows and goats. In Sariakandi Upazila, vehicles are not running much on the village roads for the treatment of sick animals. Rather, the official is using the vehicle more for personal use.
It is known from the locals that this vehicle of the Animal Welfare Hospital comes in front of the Anshilani Pre-Cadet School every day before 3 pm and stops for 15 to 20 minutes.
When the school is dismissed, it picks up the child of the Upazila Hospital doctor and leaves with a loud siren.
When I spoke to the father of some students who come to study at that school, he said that he does not understand that it is an office vehicle. However, since the vehicle has the word Veterinary Hospital written on it, it seems that it is a vehicle of the animal hospital. It comes and stands in front of the school every day for 20 to 30 minutes, while the engine is running. No one gets out of the vehicle, and because of the heat, it seems that the AC is turned on. When the school is dismissed, the driver picks up a child and leaves.
Upon investigation, it is known that on Tuesday (August 28), the hospital vehicle stopped in front of the school at exactly 3 pm. Then the driver of the vehicle picks up a child wearing a school uniform who came out of the school. As soon as he got into the vehicle, he started the vehicle and quickly left the place.
When the driver called Kamal to talk about this, he hung up after seeing the journalist's identity.
Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Mir Kausar Hossain said, "I went to a job and picked up the baby on my way back."
Bogra District Animal Resources Officer Dr. Kazi Ashraful Islam said, "This vehicle has been allocated primarily for the treatment of sick animals. Even then, since it has been given to an officer, he can use it for his personal purposes."
