A massive bull named ‘White Sultan’ has become the talk of the town in Pabna ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. Standing 6 feet tall and measuring 9 feet in length, the owner estimates the animal weighs approximately 40 maunds (1,600 kg) and is asking BDT 1.5 million (15 Lakh) for it.
The bull belongs to Faruk Sardar, a resident of Hamidpur village in Gayeshpur Union, located 20 kilometers from Pabna city. Faruk began his journey four and a half years ago when one of his Friesian cows gave birth to this calf.
"I raised him like my own child with patience and hard work," Faruk said. To maintain the bull's massive size, the farmer spends at least BDT 1,500 daily on a diet of straw, fresh grass, wheat bran, chickpeas, and corn. He emphasized that no harmful steroids or artificial fattening agents were used.
Local visitors, including Abul Kalam and Rakib Hossain, noted that a bull of this scale is a rare sight in the district this year. "It is likely the largest in Pabna," they remarked.
Faruk is currently promoting 'White Sultan' on social media and has already received inquiries from potential buyers across the country. He hopes the four-and-a-half-year wait will culminate in a fair price this Eid season.
