


The Bangladesh Coast Guard seized a large quantity of stolen coal and kerosene during a raid in the Patenga area of Chattogram on Sunday evening.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Coast Guard Outpost Patenga conducted the operation near Ghat No. 14. During the search of four suspicious vessels, officers recovered four tons of coal and 520 liters of kerosene. The estimated market value of the seized goods is approximately ৳7.45 lakh.
Authorities also confiscated three sampans and one lifeboat used in the smuggling operation. The Coast Guard confirmed that legal proceedings regarding the seized goods and vessels are currently underway. Officials emphasized that regular drives will continue to curb smuggling and maritime crime in coastal regions.
