Jubo Dal Leader Jahangir Hossain Joins Faridpur Sadar Chairman Race

Jahangir Hossain General Secretary of the Faridpur District Jubo Dal, has officially announced his candidacy for the chairmanship in the upcoming Faridpur Sadar Upazila Parishad elections.

The announcement came during a public meeting at Ambika Memorial Hall ground on Saturday afternoon. The event, attended by district and upazila-level BNP leaders and activists, focused on public welfare and community engagement ahead of the local polls.

"I have decided to contest based on the expectations of the people and the requests of my party colleagues," Hossain stated. "If the party nominates me, I will work to establish the rights of the common people and build a transparent, accountable administration."

Hossain highlighted his long-standing commitment to the party, noting he remained active on the streets even during the BNP's most challenging periods. Local leaders at the event praised his grassroots acceptance, expressing confidence in his ability to secure a victory.

Attendees included representatives from the Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, and Swechchhasebak Dal.
