Jubo Dal Felicitates Newly Elected Shantiganj Press Club Leaders

The Nationalist Youth Party (Jubo Dal) hosted a reception for the newly elected leaders of the Shantiganj Press Club in Sunamganj on Tuesday.

Held at the Muktijoddha Complex in Shantiganj Bazar on June 23, the event featured floral tributes and congratulations to the incoming press club committee.

Key Jubo Dal figures attended the event, including Upazila Convener Md. Suhel Mia, Senior Joint Convener Ranjit Sutradhar, and Joint Convener Monowar Hossain Mintu. They were joined by district member Turan Khan, alongside various union-level presidents, secretaries, and local activists.

Representing the journalists were Press Club Advisor Kazi Mohammad Jamirul Islam Momtaz, President Sohel Talukder, General Secretary Hossain Ahmed, Organizing Secretary Yakub Shahriar, Treasurer Nohan Arefin Newaz, and executive members Sulaiman Ahmed Kamran and Tofail Ahmed.

Speakers at the event emphasized the media’s role as a mirror of society, noting that objective journalism is vital for exposing irregularities and highlighting public grievances. Jubo Dal leaders expressed hope that the new press club committee will elevate local journalism and pledged to work alongside reporters for the region's development.

In response, the newly elected press club leaders thanked the Jubo Dal for the reception and sought the community's cooperation in fulfilling their professional duties.
